An Evening of Elegance: A Celebration of Fashion, Art, and Parisian Charm
Invitations have become fleeting, reduced to emails and notifications, functional and easily forgotten. For the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and Financial Times Weekend, the challenge was to restore a sense of anticipation. To transform a simple touchpoint into an experience, an invitation not just to inform, but to intrigue, seduce, and set the tone before arrival.
Insight
To mark a collaborative event between Yves Saint Laurent and Financial Times Weekend, the invitation was designed as a key touchpoint, setting the tone for an evening at the intersection of fashion, culture, and editorial sophistication.
Concept
The Invitation as Prelude
A physical object designed as the first chapter of the event—where material, light, and typography create atmosphere.
Design System Logic
The design system is built on material contrast, where matte black surfaces meet silver foil to create depth and refinement. Typography acts as a guiding structure, establishing hierarchy and clarity, while subtle patterns introduce rhythm and movement, bringing a sense of flow to the composition.
